We recently received the most exciting news of our dancing lives!
The Frankie Manning Foundation has selected us as ambassadors of Lindy Hop.

Everyday for the past 3 years, we have been blessed to welcome people from all walks of life into the joyful world of Lindy Hop, on our beautiful Réunion Island in the Indian ocean. The smiles on our dancers’ faces are our fuel. We are so proud of the Panther family we have created so far.

Now to be recognised as ambassadors of this very dance we so passionately love, by a foundation that carries Frankie Manning‘s own spirit and values, is the biggest honour we could imagine. We are blown away, grateful and most of all humbled by this opportunity.

If you know us personally, you will know that the passion for sharing Lindy Hop is abundant in our hearts. To be supported by the Frankie Manning Foundation for us to continue on our path, has boosted our enthusiasm beyond imagination. With a worldwide network and resources at hand, we are inspired more than ever to grow our scene in Réunion Island as well as spread Lindy Hop to the wider Indian Ocean, all while staying true to the roots of this joyous dance.

To start with, this year we are invited to follow a special 3-week programme for ambassadors at Herräng Dance Camp, considered to be the world’s largest dance camp focused on Lindy Hop.

After discovering Lindy Hop (and each other!) in 2003, Shehan said to Karin: “I can never be unhappy again.”
That was the beginning of our journey. It is only natural that we thrive to make this dance accessible to people as far and wide as we can.

Shehan et Karin – Ambassadeurs du Lindy Hop

Nous venons de recevoir la plus belle nouvelle de notre vie de danseurs !
La Frankie Manning Foundation nous a sélectionnés comme Ambassadeurs.

Depuis 3 ans nous nous amusons beaucoup à faire découvrir le monde du Lindy Hop dans notre île de La Réunion au milieu de l’Océan Indien.

Etre choisis comme Ambassadeurs de la danse qui nous passionne, par la Fondation qui soutient des valeurs qui nous sont chères, est le plus bel honneur qu’on pouvait imaginer.

Grâce à la Fondation nous faisons maintenant partie d’un réseau qui va nous accompagner pour continuer à développer le Lindy Hop dans le respect des racines de la danse et de l’esprit qui animait Frankie Manning.
Pour commencer, nous allons suivre cette année un programme spécial Ambassadeurs dans le plus grand workshop de Lindy Hop, Herräng Dance Camp, en Suède.

Nous sommes touchés, tellement reconnaissants, et encore plus inspirés que jamais pour continuer à faire grandir notre scène swing !
